In History, we learn what great individuals came before us. The history of others gives us knowledge about what to expect from life. We have to create our path in life to achieve anything.

The past is important to look back on, but someone is creating history every day. The person is just living their life and later realizes that sometimes they will change the future with their thoughts. There are types of movies that tell a story about a person that are called biopics.

Biopics are a person and some of these stories are worth looking into. You will be amazed by what you learn about someone's life, you might even relate to them. There are biopics and documentaries of black people and culture that get overlooked which are important to history.

These stories depict what black people have overcome and what situations still need our attention for a better future. In this episode, I discuss black biopics and documentaries of individuals you may know of.

The story of life has a beginning and ending for everyone, and this story can have tribulations and accomplishments. History is defined as a chronological record of events and human affairs. The history that we will focus on is Black History.

Black History is a part of American history more than most people think. Black History tells the stories of African Americans from the past to the present. There was a time when their culture wasn’t appreciated, however, now black culture is at the forefront of many avenues in American life.

We love to watch movies, movies show us all different realities, some real and some fantasy. Movies allow people to tell stories about different events and people's lives. There are some well-known black history movies, and some that haven’t received the same praise. These stories need to have the same attention as the popular ones.

This episode will focus on some of the less-known black history movies that are about monumental moments in black history.

Rebuilding Together: Baton Rouge Non-Profit Organization

Everyone will need some assistance in their life, but might not be sure how to find it—for example, house repairs, car repairs, and financial services. In life, we are all faced with ups and downs which causes us to become more resilient. Being resistant can help us get further in life. Some groups and organizations can assist individuals with different issues, and in most cities, some groups and organizations focus on assisting individuals' needs.

Most of these groups are run by staff and volunteers who are kind-hearted people. It takes a certain personality to interact with different people. The person has to be understanding about different situations the other individual is dealing with.

One type of organization I am talking about is a non-profit. The basic definition of a non-profit is a tax-exempt organization from the government because they wants to provide public services to help other individuals. Since a non-profit is tax-exempt the organization has to raise or have grant funding to survive. In this episode, I will interview a person who is an executive director of a non-profit called Rebuilding Together Baton Rouge.

This person's name is Kristopher M. Lewis. He will discuss what services the non-profit offers to the community and what an executive director does for a non-profit organization. The topic is Rebuilding Together Baton Rouge Non-Profit Organization.

We all need time to ourselves, this is vital to our health and it creates a reset for our body. The time we take for ourselves, gives us clarity on things we focus on that are important to ourselves. Everyone needs a break from time to time, and taking a vacation can help reset our mental state.

When you think of the word vacation what comes to mind?

There are multiple ways to describe vacation. For example, Leisure time, a day off from work, visiting a new place, or a staycation. Yes, there are multiple ways to take a vacation. The one I am focusing on is a staycation. Sometimes you just need to get away from your everyday routine and just relax. Here is the problem, you might not have the time or the funds to travel outside of your current location. This is OK, there could be multiple things to do in your current city and you might not realize it. A lot of the time we may overlook things.

Candidate For Louisiana Treasure Dustin Granger

We all need money to support ourselves. Money can be used in multiple ways to benefit us. Such as buying us a car and a house to live in. We have called it all different names over time, benjamins, bread, bucks, cheddar, bills, and dinero. A person or an organization needs to have regulations regarding how to save money. In each state, a person is appointed to this office to manage the state finances. Just like your bill needs to be paid, the government has bills as well. If you don’t pay your bills something will go wrong.

The way the state government keeps track of its finances is to elect a state treasurer. The state treasurer is responsible for the state access such as cash, savings, debt, and investments. Think of the state treasurer as a bank. This is the bank that is in charge of the state finances for all the people. The state treasurer has guidelines and laws it has to follow to conduct what is needed from the state. The state treasurer works with different boards throughout the government with the governor's office.

In this episode, I will interview a candidate who wants to be the next State treasurer for Louisiana. This candidate's name is Dustin Granger, he will explain why the residents of Louisiana should consider voting for him for the state office. Also, he will explain what a state treasurer position entails.

Organizations Are Fundamental To Life Success

I have been dealing with some personal issues which have prevented me from producing new episodes lately. As a content creator, I was having a mental block. I want to continue to deliver relevant content that you have enjoyed from the beginning. I realized I needed this time to myself to collect my thoughts.

Once again thank you, for your support and listening to past episodes. Season 3 Episode 10 Introduction: There are different types of organizations and groups. They offer multiple benefits to all individuals. Belonging to a group can make your life more meaningful. While in the group or organization, you will start to develop skills that will surprise you. Building connections with different individuals can further your education and open your eyes to a new perspective on life. Being a part of some group or organization with a common interest will excite and motivate you. The people you meet will be like-minded, and the conversations will form organically around a topic that you or the group have in mind. People find groups and organizations in multiple ways.

For example, educational institutions, churches, online platforms, and in communities where they live. Individuals will benefit from all angles when they choose to join a group or organization that matters to them. That is right, the group has to have a purpose and something that interests the individuals overall.

The interest is what pulls the person in to join and meet new people. Meeting new people is essential for your own personal growth. The people we meet throughout life will connect us to the groups that will shape our future.

The Guinness World Record has been around for multiple generations. This allows individuals to express their talents to a wider audience. The Guinness World Records has a story on how it became what we know today. The Guinness World Records idea began in 1951 by Sir Hugh Beaver as a way to settle friendly disagreements in Britain’s pubs. The book was designed to have facts that can be enjoyed by individuals and given away for free.

The people who are responsible for providing the points for the book are two brothers by the name of Norris and Ross McWhirter. The book was a success so an American edition was created in 1956. After the American edition of Guinness, other books were created in other countries to continue this fantastic Phenomenal. The World of Guinness has evolved over time and millions of individuals grew to love it.

Guinness World Records has introduced the world to opportunities that individuals can participate in. The Guinness World Records has shown individuals that you can push yourself to achieve anything you dream of. It is also essential to have fun while achieving your gold for Guinness because it is a way to enjoy what life has to offer everyone.

Fashion: How Someone Can Benefit From A Consultant

We all have our own style regarding the clothes we wear. When we go into our closets or drawers we all pick out what we want to wear that can represent us from shirts to pants and yes our shoes. Fashion creates a statement that makes us different and shows different individuals our personalities.

Our personality can reflect the way we dress by the uniqueness we all are. Coordinating different colors can make our outfits stand out. For example, a person can stand out by the accessories they choose to wear. When we dress a certain way it creates a vibe that makes us feel good.

When it comes to clothing styles, this changes with every generation. Each generation creates a style that is appropriate for them. The style can be bold that will push limits to a new level. The ones who push the limit in fashion are the ones who stand out from others.

The types of popular styles to choose from are Modern, Casual, Business Casual, Semi-Formal, Preppy, Hipster, Hip-Hop, as well Vintage, and the list continues to grow. Fashion is the first sign to show someone's worth. This means if some wear a nice luxurious fabric they are expressing their high quality of taste. Also, the person can afford to wear that clothing style.

This first glimpse of fashion is from the Egyptian and Roman periods. During this time men and women who had a higher status of wealth wore clothing to distinguish themselves from other people. The Roman woman wears Pallas which was a headpiece and Roman men wore togas which covered the body to represent citizenship. In the 19th century, the first fashion designer was a man named Charles Frederick Worth. He wanted to distinguish his clothes from others by having his name sewn into the garments.

Another sign of fashion in the past century was from a queen, king, or notable political figure. This group of individuals dictated high-fashion status from other people. They were admired by other individuals for the type of clothing they chose to wear such as robes. The 1920s was the being of the fashion we know today. This was the time when fashion's main priority was to be more comfortable for individuals.

Fashion status was still important for individuals who were wealthy. The only new change is you did not have to be wealthy to appreciate nice clothing. The clothing styles were changing, so more individuals could purchase the item. This trend continues today with well-known fashion designers. Fashion styles are being created every day to have more individuals wear their brand. For example, Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren are designing more clothes that the average person can wear.

There are fashion consultants today who offer services to assist individuals with dressing. These consultants focus on assisting individuals with fashion trends and how to dress themselves with more confidence overall.

In this episode, I will be interviewing a fashion consultant named Diamond Sparks. Diamond's main focus is to assist middle and low-income individuals with fashion knowledge and trends. She will discuss why this is her passion and why someone should choose her services. The topic is Fashion: How Someone Can Benefit From A Consultant.

Festivals: Something To Experience (Extended Edition)

Springtime is here and summer is right around the corner. The weather is changing from cold to hot which means everyone wants to be outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.

One way to enjoy the beautiful weather is to go to festivals. Yes, it is Festival time now. Where people get to enjoy great music and delicious food. Also, it’s a way to spend time with family or friends to create memories for a lifetime.

Louisiana is known to be the Festival Capital of America. In Louisiana, there are 400 festivals that people can enjoy throughout the year. Starting with Spring, Summer, and Fall which means there is a festival for anyone who enjoys something different.

The roots of food from Africa have migrated to other countries such as the United States of America. The racism we all deal with every day has one thing that brings us together which is food.

Food is a way we celebrate each other differences and come together as one. Food celebrations date back centuries through cultures and that is how we celebrate special occasions in life.

When it comes to cooking or preparing a meal there are professionals who can create a work of art. This cooking professional is a culinary chef who can slice and dice food to create the meal of your dreams. A culinary chef attends school to learn the different styles of cooking and techniques to create a meal. The food we eat in a restaurant is prepared by a chef who has numerous experience overall.

The styles of cooking a chef can learn are fry chef, grill chef, and sauté chef. A culinary chef can create a work of art of food, that will have you mesmerized by the first taste.

These are ways we communicate every day, but over different generations, this form has changed with the invention of technology.

The invention of technology has made communicating more easier among individuals from different locations. Individuals don't have to be in the same place or same space to communicate with each other like in the past. In this current century, people communicate in new ways via the internet. This new way of social media has changed how we all communicate overall. From chatting, posting pictures or videos, and showing off to the world who we are or what we want to be.

The environment of social media works in an instant and has changed the way we all see ourselves. With different algorithms that can push content, you enjoy it over and over. This world of the internet can also cause conflict with others and things we enjoy. This conflict is by canceling different things we all might not agree with. For instance a song, a law, and the history we shy away from.

This conflict that has caused an uproar among individuals is called cancel culture. These are the major issues that will be discussed in this episode. In this interview, I will be interviewing two brilliant teenagers who are involved in a church youth group at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church. They will give you their perspective of the world they see right now before them. Their names are Terrence Carter and Jamyra Small.

Some individuals struggle with self-care and some don't know how to handle different situations as well. In this case, some individuals will lash out with some form of violence or frustration towards others who might not take them seriously about their situations at that time. Other individuals will feel isolated from the people they care about in their lives. When these scenarios happen it can affect your mental health.

In this episode, I will be interviewing two individuals who have developed a platform to solve the stigma towards mental health and make individuals feel comfortable to seek help if needed.

Everyone will be faced with different obstacles and situations in life. Some may have family or friends to turn to when they need help, others may have to deal with it alone.

As you grow up you might make friends that can make life more enjoyable.

This is especially important for young men. This is how they learn how to function in life around other people. From having conversations to the way they dress, your friends become an influence on you, sometimes it can be good and other times it could be bad.

One part we are going to focus on is young black men who get labeled negatively before they have a chance to show who they are. When young black men are growing up, they are made to be a problem, they cannot be trusted and don't need to be respected.

There is a book that is trying to stop this way of thinking. The name of the book is Voices of Black Men A Collection of Stories Untold "Raw & Unfiltered. In this book 7 black men will discuss their very own story and mention how they grew up to become the men they are today.

For this book I will be interviewing one of these men and his name is Glenn Tillman Jr. He will discuss his success and how he has accomplished all of it with a disability.

Redistricting the Fight for Fair Maps in All States.

The Redistricting process is going on now in the United States. In each state the congress and senate are working vigorously on redrawing district lines. Everyone is requesting fair maps of representation for the population in all states. This will give everyone an equal opportunity. Here is the surprise, in some states the redistricting process is not fair to all groups of people. There are several organizations and groups working to protect people's rights. Black Voters Matter is fighting for people's rights for representation of redistricting. I will be interviewing the Louisiana State Organizing Manager Omari Ho-Sang for Black Voters Matter Fund.

Redistricting will affect young people as well. There are different youth groups working to inform the next generation of voters. One of the organizations which I will be interviewing is The People's Promise Youth Division. The topic is Redistricting the fight for fair maps in all states.
