Everyday Racism is an organisation that began as an Instagram platform to share stories from Black and Brown people about their experiences of racism, specifically in the UK. This has evolved into creating educational posts, public speaking, and artwork about language and anti-racist terminology. They discuss being born in Thanet, growing up here, moving away and coming back, noticing new things, appreciating the beach more, and seeing how the local area is changing. They talk about their experiences as two of the few black mixed race people locally when they were growing up. This episode explores how our attitudes and views change as we move through life and process our experiences.

Pie Factory Music is a charity set up to provide free accessible music and related arts workshops for young people across East Kent. Hear Steph's fascinating story, discussing how she moved to Ramsgate when she was 7 to live on the Newington Estate where she was considered a 'rich kid' because her parents had a mortgage, but then going to a grammar school and feeling poor. She explains how she got involved with Pie Factory Music as a child and is now the company's Managing Director - "I think I'd die if I didn't have music." This interesting episode explores the magic of not quite fitting in a box and having to work out your own boundaries, not being this or that but being both.

Arts 4 All is a professional art studio where Sandra hosts arts sessions for young people with disabilities. Hear Sandra's powerful story, discussing her own difficulties at school from having dyslexia without realising it, and discovering that she loved art. Her story includes a big move to Margate from Cornwall, finding work experience at nurseries, community centres, Foreland School and the Royal School for the Deaf, doing a Fine Art degree and becoming an Art teacher at the Royal School for the Deaf. She explains how she set up Arts 4 All and explores the idea of finding the thing you love to do.
