He didn’t care about marketing, he cared about connecting to people and helping people. So much that he joined the Marine Corps, honed his craft, and deepened his desire to serve people, eventually earning the Humanitarian Service Medal for his efforts in Operation Tomodachi, after the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami 2011. </p>

    <![CDATA[<p>Ryan Loya was rated by Command as an “Exceptionally Qualified” Marine for outstanding leadership and performance. He served ten years in the Marine Corps, deploying four times, two of which were to Afghanistan. On his third deployment, Ryan was awarded the Purple Heart. Upon transitioning to the civilian sector, Ryan lobbied to reform the Department of Defense (DoD) Transition Assistance Program (TAP) with his fiance. Together, they wrote and introduced (April 18, 2018), the "Warrior Transition Assistance Reform Act of 2018," sponsored by Congressman Don Bacon (R-NE-02).     <![CDATA[<p>After starting her career in New York City — following studies at New York University — Hailey Feldman’s professional life eventually brought her to southern Florida. And that move led her to Mixed Digital, where she now serves as its Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Brand. She thrives on launching new ventures — which integrates well into the agency’s expanding programming strategy — and specializes in market research focused on branding and strategic positioning.</p>

<p>Feldman’s skill set includes brand creation; market research and reporting; audience identification, segmentation, and behavior monitoring; building and maintaining genuine and trusting relationships; and leadership and mentorship.</p>

<p>Her background as an educator in the New York City school system meshes well with the Mixed Digital’s commitment to providing educational marketing services to independent schools. Feldman’s teaching career came during and after her graduate studies. It was also a period during which she volunteered at the School of American Ballet as part of its First Position program. This experience — supporting the work of a top-flight arts organization — laid the foundation for her becoming a key member of Mixed Digital’s new departments and programming and brand development teams.</p>

<p>After teaching, the Gowan Group — an independent education consulting firm — recruited her to build the company’s new digital marketing section. This included concentrating on branding, local SEO, and social media. During this timeframe, Feldman also became the Executive Director of Equine Emergency Rescue &amp; Relief, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing the stealing and killing of horses in Florida. It acts not only as a public education organization, but also helps horse owners in distress — due to natural disasters, accidents, barn fires, and other incidents — that could put horses in harm’s way.</p>

<p>Eventually, Feldman took the entrepreneurial plunge and founded a startup, Equestrian Marketing. It specialized in providing premium marketing services to the equestrian sports industry. Her company was eventually acquired by Mixed Digital, a marketing and branding agency headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, that tapped Feldman to become its Chief Marketing and Brand Officer for three branches it was launching in Tampa, West Palm Beach, and Miami.</p>

<p>Her diverse background in education, marketing, and nonprofit management makes her a perfect fit for handling the new development needs of Mixed Digital.     <![CDATA[<p>Mike Taber unofficially started his entrepreneurial career in 6th grade renting Nintendo games to his classmates for $1/day. During his junior year of college, he founded his first official business selling high-end gaming computers.</p>

<p><br /></p>

<p>In 2003, he began working as a software developer at Pedestal Software, which was acquired by Altiris for more than $65 million just two years later. Frustrated by the financial inequities that came about as a result of the sale, he left Altiris in 2005 and has been self-employed ever since.</p>

<p>From 2009-2011, Mike cofounded three separate products with his business partner Rob Walling, all of which are still running today. The first is FounderCafe, a paid online community for software entrepreneurs who are serious about their businesses. The second is the Startups for the Rest of Us podcast which offers advice to bootstrapped software entrepreneurs on a variety of related topics. A new episode is released every Tuesday and is on track to reach 500 episodes in 2020. Finally, MicroConf is the world’s most popular community for independent startups. It’s held several times each year in the US, Europe, and will be in Asia for the first time in 2021.</p>

<p>Today, Mike spends most of his time working on Bluetick.io, a web-based SaaS app that gives sales reps and agencies a better way to follow up with their prospects, leads and customers.</p>
