If you're a writer (or want to be one) and if you struggle to overcome writer's block, tune in to this podcast by Sandhya Valecha where she spills the beans on a writing app that helps her beat procrastination and writer's block.

On days when it's difficult to discipline yourself to overcome blank page syndrome and write, this free writing app could be the disciplinarian you need to give you the much-needed push.

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", Sandhya Valecha, the Cofounder of The Marketing Nerdz reveals to you her terrifying experiences of using this writing app. She describes this tool as someone putting a gun to your head and demanding you to write until your brain is exhausted and until your hands are tired. But the advantages of this threatening app are all yours to keep.

She goes on to talk about the warnings, pressures and anxiety you might experience while using this dangerous writing app. However, the advantages of using this free writing app far outweigh the initial anxiety you experience.

Perhaps you may be aware of the tool Sandhya Valecha talks about. Or maybe you're not. Either way, the name of this free writing tool is "The Most Dangerous Writing App".

In their own words and we quote: "Don't stop typing, or all progress will be lost. The Most Dangerous Writing App is the most dangerous way to keep yourself focused. Keep writing, or the text fades away and disappears forever."

On that note, here's wishing you a happy writing session.

I started my Freelance Copywriting journey by writing for clients who paid peanuts.

I was charging as low as $0.5 per article at the start of my career.

And after months of working for an average of $1 per article... I slowly managed to increase my rates to $5 per article.

But deep down, I knew, even the $5 I was charging was just crazy low.

I saw other writers making the BIG money. But I just couldn't get past $5 barrier. I was almost on the verge to quit back then but something happened.

An incident. It completely changed the direction of my life.

Thanks to this incident combined with other factors, I was FINALLY able to break the barriers of charging peanuts and move towards getting paid what I deserved.

Want to know what happened? Want to know how I increased my rates from $5 to $100 per article?

Well, I talk about it in this podcast :)

Happy listening!

Growing up, I was a BIG time introvert. I HATED not being able to express myself.

The only way I could communicate with the world back then was via Sports.

I was a district level player in Cricket and Table Tennis. I won a lot of awards for my school.

And I was also a part of the music-band in my school.

So sports and music is how I got all the attention back then.

But my inability to express myself always pinched me.

And after school, when my parents did not support my career in sports and wanted me to do Engineering first and then MBA... I felt as if someone had taken away one of my legs.

It felt like a ruthless cut out of the Blue.

And I wasn't able to fight or take a stand for myself back then. Else, who knows, maybe, you would have seen me in one of the IPL teams. A left hand opening batsman for Mumbai Indians, eh?

With sports gone. The music aspirations were gone too.

Everyone in my band moved to different cities.

To compensate, during my Engineering, I found another way to express myself. The Gym.

So you see, when I look back now, the pattern is pretty self-evident.

Everything I did in my life was a way to compensate for my inability to communicate or to be able to express myself.

My passion, my interests were all around things that could help me get attention. Since I got very little of it.

No wonder, I wanted to become an Actor after I got done with my Engineering. It seemed like the easiest way to get attention.

In fact, I pursued a career in acting for at least a couple of years. From doing Theater to acting in a couple of shows for UTV back then.

Things looked good. I could have done well as an actor if I had pursued it for long.

But after a point, while I was going through some health issues, I just lost interest. I decided that I don't want to pursue my passion for acting any longer. I just quit.

To me, wanting to become an actor was a way to learn how to express myself freely. And although I did that as the characters I was asked to play.

But the REAL me, the REAL Karan still was an introvert.

As soon as I was done acting. As soon as I heard the word CUT from my director - I would be back to who I was all my life - An INTROVERT.

So becoming an actor did not help me become who I thought I would.

And in between all of this, I now had to think about making money, building a career... I did not realize that I had become an Adult.

So I kept dabbling from one thing to another.

And stumbled upon writing one fine day thanks to Sandhya Valecha.

At that point, learning how to write was just a way to make money and make ends meet.

I did not really think of writing as a way to resolve and overcome something that I had been fighting all my life.

But surprisingly, the more I wrote, the better I got at writing - the better I got at communicating. The better I got at expressing myself.

When I was researching about the connection between writing, thinking, and communication - I was surprised to know that writing is also used as a modality by therapists to help people transform their lives, personalities, and self-image.

No wonder, I become a better communicator.

Thanks to learning how to write, I can now express myself freely. I was able to overcome years of my inhibitions. And make a lot of money and build a fairly successful career on my own terms.

Learning how to write changed my life, it can change your life too. Listen to this podcast episode for more details.

And an experience like this one turns a novice Entrepreneur into a REAL one.

I wish you the best in your Entrepreneurial Journey.
Most Digital Marketers are going crazy over Facebook Messenger Bots.

I hear so many of them talk about Facebook Messenger Bots changing the Digital Landscape in 2019. Yes, if used in the right context, messenger bots can add a lot of value to your overall marketing game plan. But is it THE THING in 2019? Nope!

I don't think so.

Yes, the messenger has a high delivery, open and click-through rate.

But it's also a very Intrusive and Personal space. You may drive some quick sales with the messenger... But you will end up with far more potential customers disassociating from you or your brand with constant bombardment over the Facebook messenger.

No matter what you call it... Delivering value, giving Lead Magnets... there is still a sense of personal space that we associate with the messenger. It's like selecting short-term gains over long-term leverage.

To me, here are the 3 Big Shifts you need to make in your Digital Marketing Strategy in 2019 to continue to Build a Brand that stays relevant in the long run.

In this episode of The Marketing Nerdz Podcast, I share the #1 Mistake Business Mistake most people do out there while starting their businesses! Well, when you are starting out your Business, your complete focus should be on getting the numbers rolling, getting sales for your product/services. However, that's where a majority of the people get stuck at. That is because most of them focus on all the other things but sales while starting out! The #1 Business Mistake I talk about in this episode is "perfection" With Perfection, I mean the desire to have the perfect logo, perfect font, perfect visiting cards, offer letters etc. People often spend a lot of time in making things perfect which don't really count in terms of ROI for the Business. Sharing a personal example, I share how I too made this mistake when I first started out and how it hit back. If you are working on making the allied things perfect and not focusing on driving sales or income for your Business, you are making a big mistake! So, "Stop playing the perfection game" and "do the work". Get things started and moving. If you have to run an eCommerce shop, build a store on Shopify, Run Facebook Ads and understand how your target audience is responding to your message. Analyse if they want what you're offering, get the numbers rolling and side by side get your other allied things in place too! So, to conclude, your goal if you're starting out a business should be to FOCUS on Sales! Avoid this #1 Business Mistake called "Perfection!

In this episode of The Marketing Nerdz podcast, CEO Karan Dharamsi shares the 2 things to remember before starting a business. Sharing his own experience from the time when he started his Fitness Coaching Business Online, here's what you need to know before you start your own Business. Dating back 4 years, Karan Dharamsi had planned to expand his fitness business and came up with an idea to launch the product online. The idea was to provide online coaching and have nutritionists to give personal counseling. With that concept and creating some buzz around, they launched a 30 days free trial lead magnet. Not just that, to make it a great experience for the members, they added all of the following: - Access to Facebook Private Group - Free 1-on-1 diet consultation - Free nutritionist coaching - Free 1-on-1 coaching with Karan Dharamsi And so much more... Now with an amazing membership offer like this for a Free trial for 30 days, it all started off with the Bang! From getting leads for about Rs 15 the group went from 0 to 6000 members in just the first 20 days. The whole community was creating a lot of buzz. People were also getting amazing results with people sharing their success stories in the group. Not to be mentioned, everybody was supremely happy. But here's an important thing I forgot, says CEO Karan Dharamsi: "Any business survives or thrives on profits! Money needs to flow in constantly." And here's the reality that rolled in after the end of the Free trial: When the 30th day came in, the end of the free trial, there was no one who wanted to upgrade from free to the paid trial of just Rs 6000. Inspite of getting great results, there was 0 response in terms of people wanting to convert. Having spent for the office, salary, creating content, providing consultation etc during the free trial, now was the time to recover. A day went by, nothing really happened. By that time, the project had caused a loss of almost 25 lacs in terms of the Office Space, Staff, Team members, Training Content, Coaching, and Consultation etc. There was no revenue and it didn't make sense to wait longer or keep burning money and hence had to shut things off, even though it was closely related to Karan Dharamsi's passion for fitness. Like he shares in one of his previous podcasts, sometimes, it is good to give up and move on, find the things which will help you achieve your bigger goals! When we start our company, we are most likely delusional about it. It's oka if you have investor cash but if it's your own money, you need to do this: 2 things to remember when you start your own business: 1) Know your numbers: Don't start your business based out of ideas but the actual numbers. 2) Test the Viability: Once you have the numbers, run a small test to get the proof of concept. Once you match these 2 elements, that's when you can go and run the business unless you want to risk your time and money without knowing the numbers and running a test. This gives you a deep understanding of your Customer Lifetime Value and Cost per Acquisition so that you launch your own business without risking your personal money. Hope this lesson, which was learnt the hard way helps you too as you set up your own business empire.

In this Podcast, CEO Karan Dharamsi speaks about Passion and the most wrongly shared common advice which is "Never Give Up" So, here's more on the worst advice which is freely given out there: 1) Follow Your Passion and 2) Never Give Up. These are not pieces of advice as a blanket rule, which can be applicable to everyone. Your passion may not necessarily get translated into your career or work that takes to your eventual goal. Which is why you need to put it in the right context. Coming back to advise #1, follow your passion: First off, passion could be anything. Cooking, shopping, work etc. The first thing to do is ask yourself the question, what exactly are you trying to gain by following your passion? If you are passionate and want to become an entrepreneur, is it to be the powerful leader or make more money? If so, you are passionate about the feeling the stuff will get you and not the act in itself. For example, for anyone who is passionate to become an Actor could be because of the end result of fame, love, and attention from thousands of followers. Sharing a personal example, CEO Karan Dharamsi talks about how he is passionate about Acting, Cricket and why he gave up on them! Eventually, you need to question, what are you trying to chase with your passion. Because what really matters is the feelings associated with it. You need to make a factual choice looking at all the pros and cons. You need to realize and accept the limitations and make the correct decision. Ask yourself, what feelings are you trying to chase when you say you want to follow your passion? If your passion has limitations, check an alternate source which can help you chase your feelings. Never follow your passion, follow your efforts because that is what is going to make you feel content. And if you follow the advice of Never Give Up, you will sooner or later end up being in a very frustrated state of mind: Karan Dharamsi shares how he would have been stuck in life with the limitations and realistic limitations related to his passion. In a nutshell, thin about the end state, where you want to be. Your passion could be path 1 which may not get you to the end destination. For most people, passion never translates to their desired state and goals. Pursue your passion don't turn that into your career Give up on your passion and find the actual path which will take you to your actual, eventual goals! Ask yourself these 2 important questions and figure out and shape your future based on facts: Are you passionate? Will it take you to the end result? That's all for today's podcast episode!

In this podcast episode, I will be sharing a very important message for people in their 20's! I want to talk about 5 mistakes that you should not make in your 20's to have a great future ahead! I am sure you don't want to enter your 30's struggling, right? No one does! But most of the times, we don't have the right set of advice from the right people! So well, based out of personal experience, the following are the top 5 mistakes to avoids: #1: Trying to chase Fame! Our 20's is the age when most of us start chasing fame, we see everybody getting a lot of likes, social media significance, fame on Instagram etc who are apparently very popular. That's one of the reasons why so many of us want to become bloggers, vlogger, and influencers. But in reality, a lot of lives get ruined when they get driven by significance and fame. Your 20's is the right age to keep learning more and keep getting better, build a strong future! So #1 advice is to stop chasing temporary fame. #2: Running after Shiny Objects! When you see advertising that tells you that you can make 100's of dollars each day, make easy money by sitting at home and become a billionaire, etc, you are lured to chase them. These are nothing but shiny objects that look good from the other side! They sell you on the dream but never share the reality. If you keep chasing that, you will be doing just that all through your 20's and eventually enter your 30's with a lot of frustration of not having reached anywhere. Making money is not a cake walk, and we all know it well! Always remember, if it's too good to be true, you need to stop, think and ask the question, it that true? There has to be a catch! Pause, think, let the emotion pass by and make the decisions rationally! #3: Acres of Diamond! Many a times, you have the entire mine of diamonds right next to you, but you either miss putting in your 100% to get the best out of it or stop believing in the future and stop putting in the efforts. Giving up just before achieving your goals is one of the biggest mistakes you can make in your 20's! Every field has an opportunity. We just see the glamorous side of the other field and keep jumping from one place to another. So get better at what you are doing and keep going on. Learning is a never-ending process after all! #4: Faking Experience! 20's is the right time to gain experience and not fake experience. What matter the most is the kind of practical knowledge you have and the kind of outcome you can get for the company you want to work for. "I know it all attitude" is the downfall of your career and growth! #5: Hanging Around with the wrong people! The power of 5 is where you become like the 5 people you hang out the most with. Hence, it is very important to surround yourself with the right kind of people and connect with the best mentors who can help you grow both personally and professionally. So, hope you avoid these top 5 mistakes in your 20's and shape a brighter, better and successful future by connecting with the right kind of people and mentors!

In this episode of the Marketing Nerdz Podcast, CEO Karan Dharamsi is back with another informative session on how to remove bulk URL's from your Google webmaster tool a.k.a search console.

Before we get in the details, here's the link for quick recap on our previous podcast episode related to SEO: So, are you ready to learn how to remove bulk URL's from your Google Webmaster tool? Great! Here is the first step on how to remove bulk URL's: Once you login to your Google webmaster account, click on crawl error. After that click on tab not found, and that's where you find all your 404 links! For those of you who are wondering what this means, remember, those pages when you enter wrong url, and it goes to 404 error... That's exactly what this is. These pages do not exist and it is negative as far as google SEO is concerned. And to solve this, you need to first understand what could have gone wrong or caused this in the first place. In general, there are 2 things that could have happened: 1) You actually had that url earlier but later changed your site structure and design and missed doing a 301 re-direct for those URL's. You see, if you change your URL or site structure in general, it's very important to do a 301 re-direct so that the URL's don't lead your user to a 404 page not found error. And once you have redirected all your links, mark it as fixed! 2) In this scenario, it is possible that your site got hacked and its a malware issue. So, here's what you need to do. In such cases, Google webmaster bulk url remover can be used to remove Bulk Url's. The first step is to download the zip file from the first link, then unzip the file. Next, you need to go to chrome and select the extension "developer mode" and click on load unpacked extension. Now, select the unzipped folder and you will immediately see the bulk remover. And for the final step, you need to go Google webmaster and simply upload a file with the links of all the Url's that you would like to remove in csv formant. So, these are the 2 easy step by step guidelines to remove all the negative and bulk url's from your website. Although is sounds like a technical subject, it's a great skill to know how to manage and clean your website if it gets hacked or is attacked by malware. And hence, this technical episode is highly important because it can have a great impact on improving your SEO. So go ahead, check your website and apply these steps to get rid of all the negative links and improve your SEO!

Welcome back to The Marketing Nerdz Podcast!

In this episode of The Marketing Nerdz Podcast, CEO Karan Dharamsi speaks about Standing Out on LinkedIn, as he shares an interesting personal experience he came across on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is known to be one of the largest professional platform for connecting with other professionals from around and promoting your work, business etc. And, as most of you'll would agree, there is an unspoken rule on LinedIn of behaving in a certain manner and being extremely professional. If not, people easily get pissed off! Most of the users on LinkedIn prefer talking about their work life, how they can create synergies with each other and the long list of their professional achievements, but no one prefers showing the real personality which actually helps you in standing out on LinkedIn. And if you do not follow this unspoken rule of behaving in a certain manner on LinkedIn, people will get offended! That's exactly what happened with our CEO... For those who have just started following him on LinkedIn, he posts a lot of personal pictures that come along related stories, learning and posts. And on one of the picture, this person mentioned: "Posting these pictures are inappropriate on LinkedIn, it's not Facebook!" Clearly this person is someone who could not see something so drastic and different on LinkedIn. But again, here's the marketing perspective for posting these pictures with related text: One of the most certain thing that happened with this post is that it stood out from all the other professional clutter! And as a great Marketer, it is extremely important to stand out, get noticed, get the attention of the audience and get them talking about/to you. Your Target Audience should be clearly be able to look at you and identify you different from others. The whole point of adding more personal pictures with related stories, learnings is to get attention and stand out from the crowd. Professional banners, Corporate achievements, Synergies is what everyone is doing on LinkedIn anyways. If you too follow that, you will hardly be noticed, you will just be another someone in the crowd doing the same thing as others. The attention you get using this pattern will be minimal. But, by doing something different like this example shared above, you will absolutely get attention. That's the bottom line! Standing out should not be taken as offensive, it should be compulsory. People have been thought to not throw out our personalities, which eventually kills our companies because there is no point to differentiate you form the 100's of others in your industry. If you follow that, you would not be true to yourself and there will be nothing to differentiate you from the others. That's absolutely not how you win in life! #1 rule n marketing is to stand out and get noticed.Good attention or Bad attention, both are necessary to sustain and have people talk about you, remember you and be connected to you. So, here's whats the outcome of this podcast episode: It's not just about standing out on LinkedIn or the business world, but also standing out as as person in real life! People will have their set of reactions for everything you do, but as long as you are getting attention and people are able to differentiate you from the crowd, you are doing a great job. Don't follow the world, stand out, do things your way and win! More podcast episodes sharing real life experiences with marketing lessons will coming next, stay tuned!

In this episode of The Marketing Nerdz Podcast, CEO Karan Dharamsi begins with sharing some amazing news for all his listeners and followers who want to learn Facebook marketing.

And in this episode, Karan speaks about a really amazing Business Success Strategy, which he calls being on the left of Bang! Are you too wondering what it means? Well, it is the title of one of his recent books he read and that's where this business success strategy stems from. And before we get into discussing the strategy in detail, here a gist of the book which Karan refers to: When the American marine cops were in Iraq for war a lot of times, they were pulled down by the terrorists. Even though all the soldiers were extremely well trained, to fight every challenge a lot of times the Iraqi's got the better of them. Even the best vehicle was taken apart! Now the reason for this was a lot due to the soldiers being tired. But one of the major reason for the same is the format and focus of their training! All the preparations and training always focused on reacting to situations. The soldiers were thoroughly trained to react to every situation, every problem but not preempt a situation. Which is what we typically end up doing with our business. Once the problem hits us, we try and solve the problem and challenge. The problem with this approach is that just like the American soldiers, you are not in control of the situation. You are just reacting to whats happening around you. And if you compare this to your competitors, it will give you a clearer idea. If they are solving a problem or preempting one, they have tactical advantages! Which is what the terrorists had in case of the above-mentioned example. They were controlling the situation and taking the American soldiers off. Which is when in 2006, the training program was changed to train the soldiers to be predators, to be proactive not reactors! This is what the game changed... The soldiers take control of the situation before any attacks. This kind of an approach needs a higher degree of attention, work, and all our senses! Just like in War, this is highly important in business too! If you could do that, so many of the business challenges can be taken care of and you could be easily 100 steps ahead of your competitors while they still fight and react to problems. The key is to keep figuring out the problem, challenges before they arrive. Do not operate in the now, trying to fight the small battles today. Instead, focus on identifying the problems and working towards them before anyone else. This will lead to a successful business that you have always desired. Be proactive, work on the increased sense of awareness. Like the marines, put in the time to train yourself into this strategy to make the most out of it!

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", CEO "Karan Dharamsi" shares "How to use Data from Google Analytics and Identify the effectiveness of your SEO".

If you too are working on your website's SEO, it is very important to identify and track this one important thing inside Google Analytics.
But before we dive deep into that, here is a quick reminder: if you too want to learn FB marketing in details, visit our website and enroll for our free facebook marketing course today! So, wondering what's that one most important thing to track on Google Analytics and how to use that data to increase the effectiveness of your SEO? Great! Because our CEO Karan Dharamsi has laid down a step by step guide to help you ease into the process and implement the same practically! For any person who works on optimizing their websites for search engines (especially google) and also who does a lot of content marketing, it is essential to trach the acquisition tab in Google Analytics. Step 1: The very first and basic step is to log into your account, take the code and add the code to your website. This will help Google to track all the activities on your website and will give you all the data about the traffic on your sites. However, always remember to exclude your own ip address along with the ip addresses of all your team members as majority of the site visits will be from you and your team on a daily basis. Hence, to have accurate data, you need to exclude these ip addresses. Step 2: Once you are done with setting up the codes, you have to visit your analytics account and click on acquisition. From acquisition, next, you have to click on channel and then on organic traffic! This is where you have all the data in place which will help you analyze your website activities in terms of the traffic. Now here's another important hack. If you are just starting out, it is always advisable to start an annotation on the first day. This will make it simpler for you to remember when you started out and thus will give you a better idea of your progress. And this data that you see on the graph should ideally be moving upwards, or should remain constant at least! If the graph is not linearly going up, maybe you are not growing enough back links or the page is not completely optimised. Some minor dips here and there are normal, but if your traffic is changing constantly, it is a clear sign that something went wrong, some negative SEO or some bad links were built for your site. It's for you to figure out, what went wrong which can be figured out using google search console. So, the most imp thing to analyse every 15 days is your traffic graph. Follow these 2 simple steps every 15-20 days and make sure your graph growth is steady. This is one of the most important things to start with when you are learning how to use the data from Google analytics and identify the effectiveness of your SEO. If you have any questions, suggestion or feedbak, drop a comment on our facebook page: The Marketing Nerdz and our Youtube channel: The Marketing Nerdz.

In this episode of The Marketing Nerdz Podcast, CEO Karan Dharamsi shares some important predictions about Influencer Marketing!

Influencer Marketing is a big thing today, but in all reality, it will take a dip in the near future. According to the current scenario and trends, Influencer Marketing is going to be Dead in the next five years... This may sound a little harsh to a lot of you out there but there is a reason behind why influencer marketing will no longer be what it is today! Due to various platforms like Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Youtube etc, there has been a huge rise in Influencer Marketing since the last couple of years. It has been extremely easy for anybody to become an influencer just with a large number of audience and reach through these platforms. But as the platforms are evolving, the number of content creators on these platforms has increased exponentially. The platforms cannot afford to put up all the content for their existing users. These platforms won't have so much inventory to put up everyone's content organically. SO just like FB, they will also reduce their organic reach. Speaking about a couple of years back, the platforms had a different algorithm and the organic reach was almost 100%. Hence, you could reach out to your entire audience and engage with them for almost no cost. It was very easy to build your audience and have a huge list of followers with great engagement. However, talking about today's scenario, Facebook especially has completely killed its organic reach. The organic has dropped down to a whopping 1% and to connect with your remaining audience, you have to pay the platform! Now for an influencer, due to this drop in the organic reach, you are no longer that great a brand due to low engagement. Brands would not see any good returns in working with you and would select from others who have much better, higher engagement. Smart influencers who have a good business model and money to invest will still enjoy the same engagement. And the platforms will promote the ones who pay them. However, most influencers don't have a proper business model. Eventually, if they don't have the money to distribute the content, they will no longer have the attention and hence brands would no longer reach out to them. Which is why, without a proper business model and plan, influencers will no longer be able to reach to their own audience without paying the platforms. And for most of the influencers, they never work on a business model and just start out to build their audience on just one platform. As the number of content creators increase, only influencers with a smart business model will survive and everybody who became influencers through organic reach will no longer be attractive to the brands. So, if you are an influencer, take your audience outside the one single platform you dominate. You never know which platform changes its policy when and you will no longer be able to communicate to the audience you have built. Don't let your entire audience go away overnight! Use multiple platforms and always distribute your audience to other platforms where you can still communicate with them even if these platforms change their algorithm some day. With changing time, there will be many new platforms which will come and go. But if you wisely plan your business model, you too can make the most of all the changing trends. Let us know about your thoughts and your perspective on this. If you too are an influencer, what are your predictions? And do not forget to check out our FB group called free digital marketing training!

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", CEO "Karan Dharamsi" shares his 3 step strategy on how to get a job in Digital Marketing.

This is a 3 part podcast series where we will be discussing each step in detail to help you get your dream job in Digital Marketing. In this episode, Karan Dharamsi discusses more about the first step to get a job in Digital Marketing and securing your future which is to build a strong connnection network. This is the formula derived from his personal experience from the time when he went on to audition for movies after completing his engineer. At that time itself, he understood that just interviewing and auditioning is not enough if you want to get to the top of the ladder. It is all about building your network, connecting and associating with the best in your industry. As your network grows, you will get the right offers come to you. There won't be the need for you to go from place to place hunting for the right job for you. If you have a strong network with all the right people, you will not have to do the hard work of interviewing and auditioning and instead you will be invited. So, it is really very important to build a strong network and nurture strong relationship with the best in your industry. Giving this contextual example, Karan Dharamsi points out the 2 different approaches to get a job in digital marketing:

You will go and interview with different company

You build a great network

So, wondering how to build this strong connection? Here's how you too can enter the network of the best digital marketers using LinkedIn as the platform: The formula is to use LinkedIn to send in connection requests to all the heads of various departments of the Company that is the best in your industry. However, make sure to follow these 2 most important steps to make the most of this strategy. Step number one to get the right job in Digital marketing is to build your LinkedIn profile A great LinkedIn profile should answer the following question: What do you do? How can you help the company with your skills? People who accept your connection should feel that they are making the right choice. So the first and most basic requirement is to create a great profile. Step number 2 to get a job in digital marketing is to go to the jobs in LinkedIn and Send out connection request to people at high job posts. Once you have set up your profile, go to the Jobs tab and enter your keyword for your particular field (digital marketing in this example) and also check the LinkedIn suggestions. Once you get the list of companies with your search filters, find the people in higher position in those companies. Find the profiles of people who look into the hiring process for the company and send them a connection request. Don't just send a connection request, but add a personal note while you send the connection request. With this message, get the attention from the right person. Build a strong network, and focus on creating a list of great people from your industry. Having a great network will eventually get the right job to you and you will have a higher chance of standing out of the crowd. So, go ahead and start building the connections on your LinkedIn profile and stay tuned for part 2 and 3 of this 3 part podcast series on how to get a job in digital marketing.

Welcome back to yet another episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast".

In this episode, CEO "Karan Dharamsi" reveals the 3rd step on how to use the #1 tool to get clients for your freelance career in Digital Marketing. So, are you ready? But before we dive deep into the details, here's a quick recap to the first 2 steps:

Create you account on upwork.com and select your domain

How to apply and Write your application using the secret spec strategy

Once you have completed the first two steps, here's the next and final step to get clients for your freelance digital marketing career using the #1 tool: One of the really important and often asked question by freelancer is related to the payment structure. How will i be paid for my work? What if i don't get paid? These are the basic questions a freelancer would have while starting on upwork.com or any other similar platform. This is because all the communication is done purely online.
Also, since upwork.com is a platform that helps to bring the two ends of demand and supply, they too charge a certain percent of the project fee. And the question is who would bare this cost? Depending on your profile (a new one or with reviews and ratings) and the communication you have with your clients, either you or the client has to bare the 15% charge which needs to be paid to upwork.com. When you work directly from the platform, there is a lot of fee loss due to the various commissions and transaction charges etc. Hence, sometimes, the client may ask you to work directly outside the platform and agree upon paying directly through paypal to save on these extra charges.
But this is where most of the freelancers who are just starting our get scammed! Speaking with great experience, Karan shares the important pointers to look into while finalising the deal. Here is the client thumb rule he shares to make sure you are not scammed with your initial projects as a digital marketing freelancer: When you are working with your client outside the forum, take the payments upfront! Honest clients will pay you upfront. Never work on a post paid basis outside the platform, specially with new clients. When working through upwork.com here's what you need to do: Set milestones for your project and get paid for successfully completing that much percent of your project work. In Upwork terms, the client has to escrow the funds for that milestone which is collected by upwork.com. And once you complete that milestone for the project, and client is satisfied, the client will mark the work complete and upwork.com will release your payment. But what happens when you have done your work 100% as discussed but the client changes the terms and demands much more and does not mark your milestone, you can file a dispute. In this scenario, upwork.com will come into the picture and analyse your communication, work and all the messages exchanged. Based on this, the payment is released or returned to the client based on what upwork.com finds legit. Thus always have your communication through upwork.com. This is a very important tip to remember while working on upwork.com. For any such legal issues, upwork will only consider your communication that happens through the platform and not outside the platform. So, if you follow these 3 simple steps, you too can use the #1 tool to get clients while starting you digital marketing career as a freelancer and skyrocket your career.

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", CEO "Karan Dharamsi" speaks about social media platforms, which platform should you focus on for your business and how to find the best social media strategy for your Business!

Is your Business in the B2B or B2C sector? Who are your end consumers and which social media platform is most used by them? These are some of the most frequently asked and certainly important questions to understand which is the best social media strategy for your business. However, there is no proven theory or scientific answer to this question. And in this Podcast, CEO "Karan Dharamsi" shares some insightful tips and strategies which will help you find the answer to this question. So, wondering which social media strategy is the best for your business? Well, we have Karan Dharamsi share the answer to this question through his personal experience and analysis. Here is what you need to do in order to frame the best social media strategy for your Business: For any given business, be it B2B or B2C, the first and the most important step to build the best social media strategy is the start off with one single platform. It's always advisable to completely focus on that one platform where majority of your audience is and to completely dominate it with your awesome content. This is because at the beginning, you would want to focus on understanding where majority of your audience is and what kind of content works the best for that particular platform. At this stage, your focus should be on understanding the needs of your customers on that platforms and providing them with great content for the same. And once you are done building a strong foundation on that one core platform, focus on the "one to many distribution strategy" to grow your followers across various social media platforms. Hence, the second phase includes the distribution of the audience that you have collected through your primary platform. Dominate one platform and distribute your followers to the other platforms through that! Sharing his own experience with The Marketing Nerdz, Karan discusses how The Marketing Nerdz has Facebook as the primary social media platform through which the followers are then distributed to our other accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc. To conclude, here is what you need to focus on to build the best social media strategy for your Business:

Start off with one platform

Dominate that platform with great content

Distribute your followers from that one platform to others

Move on to the next platform to dominate

Being present on all the social media platforms at the same time will require great content on all the platforms at the same time. And if the content is not great for the audience on each platform, you are risking your brand image. But focusing on one single platform will help you come up with excellent content for your audience and that will improve your brand image. So, don't chase all the platforms at the risk of tarnishing your brand image. Keep domination one platform at a time and focus on distributing your audience on all the other platforms. That's how you can evolve and dominate the most appropriate social media platform. Dominate one social media platform at a time and follow the one to many distribution strategy to grow your social media followers effectively.

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast" CEO "Karan Dharamsi" shares the 2 different Business Models and also speaks about how to select the best Model depending on your needs.

According to Karan, there are 2 basic schools or models of business:

Lifestyle Business Model

Real Business

So, wondering what these 2 types of business models mean and how to select the right Business Model? These are the 2 broad categories of Business models in which majority of businesses and entrepreneurs operate. A typical lifestyle business is where the person meets all his lifestyle needs to a larger extend. The business model is much more flexible and compatible to his needs and desires in terms of spending quality time with friends and family, going out on vacations, not having to worry about setting up his team etc. And then there is the Real Business model. A typical business model with a routine structure in terms of work, outcome, hours dedicated etc. Karan goes on to explaining the point further by elaborating Gary Vanerchuk's Business Model. That is a typical example of the second type of Business Model. You Hustle, work hard and repeat the same thing day in and day out to grow and scale your Business. On the contrary, a typical lifestyle business would be the one where someone operates his drop shipping business at the comfort of his own place, just by hiring one or 2 virtual team members! He does not have to build a physical team at a physical location or commit to a workplace to conduct his business. Speaking about the revenue generated in both the models, each of them are capable to earn millions. However, when it comes to Lifestyle business, there is one major limitation! The only limitation for a Lifestyle Business is scalability. It is surely possible but difficult compared to the other model. This is because you are limited with your recourses in terms of manpower, inputs, work hours and ideas. There certainly are exceptions, but majority of the lifestyle business reach a point beyond which scalability and growth is difficult and takes in a lot of efforts. So, here are a few important questions you need to ask yourself to select the right Business Model out of the 2:

What do I like?

Am I willing to Hustle, sit at the office Monday to Sunday or would I prefer spending time with Family and Friends?

Am I willing to do everything under the sun for my Business?

Is the Business meeting my needs and desires?

For you to work and contribute towards the growth and expansion of your business positively, it is very important that the Business model you select meets your needs! You are your own decision maker. Pick what you like and pick the model where your heart it! If you want to share anything about your Business Models or your take on one of the 2 broad Business Models, we would love to hear from you!

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast" CEO "Karan Dharamsi" shares his secret formula on "how to grow your social media followers".

So, wondering how to use Twitter as the base social media platform to create and distribute your social media followers? Well, we have the most simple 2 step strategy for you! Here's the first step on how to grow your social media followers: To begin with, it is extremely important to grow and gain organic followers on your base platform. For this podcast, we would be working on the strategy on how to use Twitter as this base platform. So, as discussed in the previous podcast episode: "#1 Tool to grow your followers on Twitter", the first step is to build and grow your followers on Twitter using the #1 tool. Once you have successfully implemented that and created a base of followers, here's the second step on how to get more social media followers: Step 2 is all about distributing your audience from the base platform to your other social media platforms. There are several ways in which you can automate this process and send personalised direct messages to ensure better conversion rate from base platform to different social media accounts. In this podcast, Karan goes on the explaining the same with some detailed examples and conversion calculations. What is important along with distributing your audience is to track and analyse the distribution and conversion rate. And yes, another Big Rule to remember is that when you are distributing your audience, stick to one platform. So, wondering how to use this Big Rule to grow your social media followers? Simple! When you are distributing your audience from your base platform, make sure that you ask them to check out ONLY one of your other accounts. Do not ask them to check your stuff on all the platforms as it will increase the work for them and eventually turn them off with the pushy approach. Hence, keep it simple and easy. Also, apart from driving your audience to the desired platform, the most important thing is your content on all your accounts. Make sure to WOW your followers once they follow you on your other platforms. Engage them, hook them to your content which will then get them to follow your other accounts themselves! So, this is how you can use twitter not just to build followers but also distribute your followers. And remember, the platform you select as your base platform may differ, but at this point, using Twitter for the same is one of the most effective strategy. Using the #1 tool for Twitter combined with this amazing distribution strategy, you are all set you grow and distribute your followers on all social media platforms. After all, in todays time, every smart business will distribute their followers across platforms.

Your competitors will have your potential audience, all of them gathered at one place. People who follow your competitors have interest in consuming similar products or services and hence are your target audience for sure. Once you have the list ready, here is the next step to follow, to get more followers in Twitter using the #1 tool: Take the list created with all the competitors and share their Twitter handles on Crowdfire. Here's the amazing part about using this application, as soon as you put up the list of the handles, it will give you a list of everyone who follows them. So there you have, the complete list of your highly targeted, potential leads. And, when you hit that plus sign next to their names, you will automatically start following them. Although it is a manual process and it consumes a fair amount of time, the results are accurate and really close to what you would need! Especially when it comes to increasing your following on Twitter, what better way to ethically drive your target audience from your competitors page to your page! And yes, here is am important step to ensure your achieve maximum benefits: Make sure your profile is clean and clear, stating what you have got to offer your audience and why should they follow you. Have your lead magnets and a great call to action in place to have better conversions. After all, all of the social media platforms are cluttered with so many accounts and so much information that you need to stand out and make your mark at every possible step. So, here's a quick recap of the entire process on how to use the #1 tool to get more followers on Twitter:

Make a list of all your Competitors on Twitter

Share the handles of your Competitors on Crowdfire

Make sure to keep your profile updated with lead magnets and a great call to action

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", CEO "Karan Dharamsi" speaks about 3 Digital Marketing Skills to master to have a successful career as a Digital Marketer.

There are a lot of successful Digital Marketing professionals out there and if you too wish to make a mark for yourself in this industry, here is the honest picture of where things are heading to and the most important skills to have. So, the first and the most important Digital Marketing Skill to master is to have a great understanding of numbers:
From running your ad campaigns to tracking all your conversion, numbers play a huge role when it comes to Digital Marketing. For a person who understands numbers, it will be extremely easy to track and analyse the ROI for any campaign or activity undertaken. After all, for any company or business, the main objective of any marketing campaign is to increase the bottom line profits. Hence, even if someone hates numbers but knows how to read and study a balance sheet, he would definitely do a great job as a Digital Marketer. He would have a much better and clear understanding of what needs to be achieved out of each marketing activity and how to increase the ROI. So, do not stagnate your career growth and understand the numbers for your business before anything else! The second most important Digital Marketing Skill to master is to understand human behaviour: It may seem to many that how can understanding human behaviour and psychology apply to online and digital marketing? But here's the reality... Only a few people talk about this when it comes to Digital marketing. And in fact 80% of conversion depends on how well you understand and influence your customers who are human beings after all!
The best way to master this skill is to read more book, books on human psychology, hypnosis, NLP etc.
"Robert Cialdini", "Seth Godin", "Milton Erickson" are few of Karan's favorite authors when it comes to reading more on human psychology. Eventually, what great Digital Marketers do is replicate the real world offline behaviour in their marketing campaigns and messages on online platforms. Speaking from personal experience, Karan also mentions how he has been using several psychological factors while creating his highly successful marketing campaigns online! The last and the most tricky Digital Marketing Skill to master for a successful career in the industry is to understand and stay updated with technological changes: You may be learning and mastering the current trends and current technology being used in the market, but it may all change tomorrow! Just like how social media has evolved from almost nothing to such a huge platform over the last decade, the future will see a lot many technological changes. From Robots to Virtual Reality to Complete Automation, the future is going to change dramatically! Sharing his personal experience from his engineering days, Karan explains how it is important to stay aligned to the changing technology. What you may be learning today, may not be relevant at all tomorrow! So to conclude it all, here are the top 3 Digital Marketing Skills you should absolutely master, if you want to become a great digital marketer:

First Digital Marketing Skill is to understand your Numbers

Second Digital Marketing Skill is to understand Human Behaviour

Third Digital Marketing Skill is to understand Technology

So go ahead and master these highly important digital marketing skills to build a great career as a Digital Marketing Professional.

In this episode of The Marketing Nerdz Podcast, CEO Karan Dharamsi reveals the 80:20 Principle of Digital Marketing and how it can completely change your Business if applied the right way! So, what exactly is this 80:20 rule of Digital Marketing? In simple words, the rule implies that focusing on the important 20 % of things will bring in 80 % of the desired results and revenue, whereas if you shift your focus to the other peripheral 80% of things, it will only do so much and contribute to 20% of your results. Yes, it is all about the amount of focus and efforts you put into the right things, and how eventually it's just that 20% of the right thing done that gets in 80% of the revenue. To explain the 80:20 rule of Digital Marketing further, Karan shares an interesting example of an eCommerce store structure: Well, if you go to see, ideally for an eCommerce store, only 20% of it's start products will get in the major chunk of revenue for your Business. The remaining 80% of the products only account to 20% in terms of revenue. Not just an eCommerce store, this rule of 80:20 applies for Digital Marketing as well, and here's how: Taking into consideration any campaign that you launch, the success of your campaign will boil down to the efforts that you put in for the main 20% of all the things, which is to understand your target audience, their needs, their pain points and working on a marketing message based on this customer avatar that you create! What most Digital Marketers miss is to understand their audience and they often get caught up in the remaining 80% of the peripheral things like updating new chat boxes, or creating fancy websites, fancy landing pages etc which would eventually only bring in 20% of the revenue. So here is a quick recap for the 80:20 Rule for Digital Marketing: To begin with, it is very important to understand your customers, their needs and wants before framing or creating any marketing campaign. Each customer is unique and they would all have different needs and wants. Hence, start off with creating different customer profiles as per different requirements which will help you to shape your marketing and communication message which will help you connect with the target audience. This bit is the 20% of your total marketing efforts and that is what will give you 80% of your revenue. The remaining 80% of the things are certainly important, but they would only account to a total of 20% in revenue! Hence, it's on you whether to direct your efforts and inputs on the highly important 20% things and get in 80% of the revenue through that or to focus on the peripheral 80% of the things which will consume larger chunk of your time and energy but contribute to only 20% of the total revenue! So, go ahead and plan your Digital Marketing Campaign using this 80:20 principle to attain the desired results!

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", "Karan Dharamsi", CEO of The Marketing Nerdz talks about one of the most important "Goals of Marketing". There are a lot of definitions out there when it comes to describing the number 1 goal of marketing. For some, the job of Marketing is to create awareness amongst the customers, for some it is to sell and promote your products and services to your target audience and for some, it is simply to connect and reach out to a huge number of potential audience. However, here's something that marketers often forget or ignore when it comes to deciding the # 1 goal of marketing. "Trust" id the #1 goal of Marketing if you want to build a strong, loyal base of customers. Karan goes on to explain this point further with a very interesting example of marriage, how approaching your target audience with a marketing message is very similar to approaching a person you like to marry you! Yes, it may sound crazy but there are a lot of similarities, and along with likability and other factors, trust is that one important factor that decides if the person would marry you (in this case, engage with your business) or not! When you first approach your prospective customer with your marketing message, they are finding various factors and points that they can trust you for, making sure they would not have a bad experience with you or your product and services as in the past with some other purchase. Hence, here's what your # 1 Goal of Marketing should be, at every step and stage of communication with your target audience:

Build the trust amongst your audience at every step of your marketing funnel

Enhance that trust further, with every communication with your audience

With all of your marketing strategies and communication, you are either building the trust with your audience or killing it. Though it is a KPI which is non-measurable, it is highly crucial to consider it while evaluating your marketing campaigns. Trust amongst the target audience has a huge impact in terms of converting your leads into clients. Make sure you re-check and re-evaluate your entire marketing funnel to add elements in your communication which will help you gain and build the trust amongst your target audience. Make your customers feel comfortable, give them what they want and you will eventually gain their loyalty if you successfully build the trust. This is one of the most crucial factors that decides whether or not a potential customer will invest in your business! So here are the 2 things you need to ask yourself before starting out any marketing campaign, to ensure you meet the # 1 Goal of Marketing:

What are you doing at every stage to Build that Trust

What else can you do to Enhance that Trust

This # 1 Marketing goal will help you grow your business and expand at the desired rate, ensuring you build a happy and loyal customer base for everything that you offer!

In this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", Sandhya Valecha, the CoFounder of "The Marketing Nerdz" shares with you the 2nd Secret to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing. Sandhya calls it the ER secret. Just like the secret, she shared yesterday, the ER secret too is relevant to any Digital Marketing platform you use - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn. And if you understand the ER secret well + use it the right way, it can definitely help you in creating and executing digital marketing campaigns that get you more sales. Curious to know what the ER secret is? Alright, so let's reveal it right away. ER: The 2nd Secret to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing In this context, ER stands for "Emotional Reasons". Your prospective clients/customers buy for Emotional Reasons, not Rational Reasons!
Most digital marketers and copywriters make the mistake of appealing to the rational reasons! Worse yet, most of them do not even know this secret. And these digital marketers and copywriters, unfortunately, lose the sale. Why? Because they fall in love with their product/ service so much that their entire focus is on the huge list of features. But they miss focusing on the emotional reasons. To write effective copy for your digital marketing campaigns that get you more sales, you MUST appeal to your target audience's Feelings, Emotions, Wants, Needs, and Desires. To explain the ER Secret further, here's an interesting example Sandhya shares in this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast"... The "ER" Secret & The Billion Dollar Pizza Example "If people acted rationally, could you sell them cheesy pizzas? There’s no rationality to buy a pizza. It’s unhealthy. It makes you fat. It clogs your arteries. So why is pizza a billion-dollar industry? Because it makes you feel good!", says Sandhya. Secret to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing: Make Your Prospective Buyers "Feel Good"! To write effective copy for your digital marketing campaigns to get you more sales, you MUST appeal to your prospective buyer’s feelings, emotions, and desires. Make them feel good! Whether you're writing ad copy, articles, blog posts, tweets, website content, Facebook posts, video sales letter, or any other - the ER secret works wonders in ensuring the success of your digital marketing campaigns - if applied the right way. If you're wondering "what emotions should I use?", we have you covered! Emotions You can Use in Your Copy to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing

Fear

Greed

Pride

Envy

Laziness

Powerful Positive Emotions If you'd like to know those two Powerful Positive Emotions Sandhya prefers to use in her Copy, make sure you listen to this entire episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast". These two positive emotions have been helping her Get More Sales. And she shares them in this episode. So go ahead and hit that play button now if you haven't already. And if you have heard the entire podcast, bravo! Now go ahead and incorporate the ER Secret in your Digital Marketing campaigns and get set to get more sales. Remember, people buy for emotional reasons, not rational reasons. If you want to know the third Secret to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing, make sure you tune-in tomorrow. In tomorrow's episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", Sandhya will share the 3rd Secret to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing.

Whether you use ad copy, blog posts, website content, social media content, video content - these secrets work well in ensuring the success of your digital marketing campaigns.

So ready for the 1st of the 3 Secrets to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing?

Great, so in this episode, Sandhya shares the 1st Secret with a small story and an example.

She talks about the story of a fast-selling lazy lady at a perfume store in contrast with the story of the second saleslady who's neatly dressed, presentable & pleasant.

Sandhya goes on to demonstrate how the second saleslady understood the first secret to Get More Sales with the examples of Christian Dior and Carolina Herrera.

What did the second saleslady do that the first one missed?

She made the buyer comfortable by being friendly, by not being salesy!

She used the 1st Secret to Getting More Sales. She did not make the buyer feel like they are being sold. She allowed the buyer to be in the driver's seat and being in control of the buying process.

And so the 1st of the 3 Secrets to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing is that People Don’t Like to be Sold. Sandhya explains this in detail with personal examples about Zara and her own shopping trip.

Things to Remember to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing

Overall, from all the examples Sandhya shares in this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", it can be deduced that people like shopping but they don't like to be sold.

Your prospects want to buy, but they don’t want to be sold. Buying implies control. Your prospects want to keep the control in their hands. Being sold is the opposite. They don't want to feel like they are being controlled.

Whether you're selling a product or a service using Facebook ads, or Instagram ads, Google or YouTube ads or LinkedIn ads or doing digital marketing in any form, understanding and implementing this secret will help you in creating effective campaigns that get more sales.

Remember, your job is to help your prospective buyer. No matter what form of copy you're using - be it ads or blog posts, be it website content or social media content or video content - use this secret if you want to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing.

To conclude, your prospective clients or customers like to buy things. But they don’t like to be sold. Remember this. Whether you’re writing an ad copy for any digital marketing campaign or platform or writing a social media post, don’t be pushy or salesy. Entice or appeal to them instead of being pushy. Let the sale flow naturally - just like it did in the perfume scenario offered by the 2nd saleslady in the story Sandhya shares in this episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast".

If you want to know the next 2 Secrets to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing, make sure you come back tomorrow and day after. Yup, in tomorrow's episode of "The Marketing Nerdz Podcast", Sandhya will share the 2nd Secret to Get More Sales with Digital Marketing.

So stay tuned.

In this Episode of The Marketing Nerdz Podcast, Karan Dharamsi talks about the importance of planning the initial hours of your day wisely!

Karan Dharamsi is a big believer of planning the first-hour meticulously and if you don't do that, it is impossible to manage the rest of your day to optimize your productivity. It's important to have a great morning ritual to win your entire day.

Everybody who is successful and has achieved something in life follow a great, productive morning ritual which helps them conquer the day.

Here are a few Morning Rituals you need to make a note of to make sure your day ahead is planned in congruence to what you desire to achieve out of it:

1. Drink a lot of water: Drink a lot of water and keep your body hydrated. It's a little cliche but our body gets dehydrated throughout the night and it's important to hydrate your body first thing in the morning to help your body recover and get back on track with the daily routine.

2. Keep Your Phone Away: Waking up to distractions is a Big No- No! Many a time, how our mind and body functions throughout the day completely depend on the mood that we are set into right in the morning! And that is why Karan recommends staying away from messages, emails or calls during the first hour of the morning as there is a high possibility that it might consist of something that might piss you off or ruin the rest of your day!

The first hour in the morning is the best time to set your intentions right!

3. Write Down Your goals: Writing down the goals in the morning helps you to stay in focus and stay in line with your goals. It just not reminds your mind of goals but also settles them in your guts! It keeps you focused and you will be less likely to play with distractions which can bring down your productivity drastically.

Make sure that you write down your goals every morning and attract its completion through focus and determination.

4. Be Grateful: Emotional flood is another powerful concept by Tony Robbins. Being Grateful is an emotional exercise! Every morning spend some time in being grateful for what you have. It may be anything, your life, your supportive friends, family, your loved once or even your pet!

When you are grateful for something you have you would feel delightful and would take nothing for granted ever!

And post all of that, a quick 5-minute workout to energize your body, wake your body and to prepare yourself to conquer the day with a lot of excitement, happiness, and energy!

Avoid negativity as one negative thought will attract a number of other negative things which will pull down your energy and drain away a lot of your energy and time!

So make sure you have your morning ritual right, Cause all success stories need a positive beginning and consistency!

In this episode of The Marketing Nerdz Podcast, Karan Dharamsi the CEO of The Marketing Nerdz is going to talk about the #1 thing every Startup should focus on!

A lot of Startup founders often miss their focus while starting out their business. In the initial phase, every business aims to achieve two things i.e sales and brand awareness. However, a lot of them miss focusing on the most important factor out of the two. While coaching a lot of Startup Founders, Entrepreneurs and CEO's, Karan realized that majority of them have their focus on building a brand rather than sales! Karan speaks about the importance of having your goals, time and effort focused on Sales as it is one of the most crucial factors which drives home the kind of revenue that will help you grow and expand your business. In the initial phase, test out the demand for your product and service in your marketplace. Understand your consumers and their needs to make your products and services more suitable and desirable. Every Business goes through 4 stages throughout the business cycle. But the 1st and the most important stage is where you want to focus on your sales and of course, work on your branding side by side as the business scales up. Branding is important and plays an indirect role in sales but at the beginning, it is necessary to generate sales and test whether or not your product fits the market.

But Sandhya tells you why you should not go for click bait headlines if you want your prospects to be with you for long term.

Soon after setting the stage with the strongest ways to approach headlines, Sandhya dives right into the 1st of the 3 Tips to Write Magical Headlines that Get Instant Clicks.

1st Tip: Deadline/Urgency:

Does your headline make the reader feel it’s critical to read your article/ blog/ news story right now?

Here’s an example:

Savings! 75% Off The Marketing Nerdz’s Branded T-Shirts. Expires In A Few Hours. Hurry!

2nd Tip: Preciseness

Offering precise, clear, unambiguous info in the headline helps attract the reader & lead them into clicking & reading your offer.

For example:

Join the 921 People Who’ve Already Won The Marketing Nerdz’s FREE Gift Cards for Amazon

3rd Tip: Exclusivity

In your headline are you offering unique/ exclusive info? Or are you at least showcasing it as exclusive or unique?

For Example:

Brand-New Company Is First to Offer Exclusive, 1st of its kind Digital Marketing Show with TV Superstars

So to conclude, the 3 Tips to Write Magical Headlines that Get Instant Clicks are

1) Deadline/Urgency

2) Preciseness

3) Exclusivity
