Ruth Beltran is a Latina immigrant, longtime community organizer, revolutionary, and socialist freedom fighter here in Florida. After volunteering endless hours to election campaigns that brought very few changes to the lives of the average person, Ruth realized that our problems cannot be solved by any single politician. After this realization, Ruth decided to dedicate her life to bringing empowerment to the masses and fighting against the institutionalized systems that oppress them.

Ruth spends most of her time organizing around social issues that affect our communities, including: working class rights, tenants rights, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, women’s liberation, criminal justice reform and fights against white supremacy and for the liberation of all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities.

Ruth formerly sat on the board of the ACLU and LULAC. Ruth is a proud member of ANSWER Coalition (which stands for Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Ruth is also the Radio Talk Show Host of “The Ruthless Truth” which airs at WSLR Community Radio in Sarasota and on all podcast platforms.
